CPL Pat Tillman

Army CPL Pat Tillman, 27, of San Jose, CA;

assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment, Fort Lewis, Wash;

killed Apr. 22 by friendly fire near  the village of Sperah in southeastern Afghanistan.

He was posthumously promoted to CPL.
