What We Heard from Our Troops

From FOBN at Camp Taji Iraq we thank you for your support. We are out of Fort Lewis WA. My mother-in-law (Coral Bohl) asked OSOT to adopt my unit a few months ago and you did. My Soldiers and I thank you very much for adopting us, and for all the letters and the gifts that we received today. We appreciate the support very much......  My guys thank you all very much. We read all the letters and than we taped them up on the wall.

My Soldiers and I hope that every one at OSOT has a Happy Independence Day!!!

 God Bless

OSOT's packages were waiting for Wes when he returned to "work".  I know it was not your intention, but Wes didn't wait until the 4th of July to share with his "Brothers"!  He is like that at Christmas time too! (Just when I thought that he was way too mature for his age, he does something like this! lol.)  He asked me if I would write to you and Thank you for the gifts. He said that he could not believe how much candy and Kool-aid packets that arrived. He said that his unit would be on a sugar rush for quite a long while. But the most impressive item was the body wraps! No one in his unit had ever seen one, but once they figured them out ... your OSOT ears should have been ringing with all the praise from Wes and his "Brothers". As Wes put it in his own words ... "the wrap is sweet!"  Believe me, you scored some big time points with Wes and his "Brothers".  And from the mother of one of the Soldiers that you have touched ...  Thank you for taking care of my baby. (And in case Wes ever learns that I called him a baby, I will deny it to the end. While he was home on R&R, I made the mistake of calling him a kid, oh my ... did I ever catch it from him! lol)

Wes and his unit are getting ready to move to another FOB. He asked me to write and Thank you, because they don't have many opportunities to get on the Internet right now. (And Heaven forbid, he would not even think about picking up a pencil and hand writing anything! I know this for a fact!) And another reason that I personally am grateful for doing this task for him, is that because when he does get a chance to get on the Internet or if we are really lucky, the phone .... Wes gets in contact with me! Yeah, call me selfish, I love every chance I get to communicate with him!

Please let OSOT know how grateful Wes, his "Brothers" and I are for their support. And how much the Soldiers loved the body wraps!

And as usual, a big Thank you to you for caring!

Take care!

Jan
