Let Freedom Reign 2009

Land of the Free . . . Home of the Brave!

As one of the recipients of the Independence Day well wishes and treat bags from the "Proud Americans in the State of Washington", please accept my gratitude.

It is always nice to receive mail when deployed so far away from home, and is particularly refreshing to receive such a patriotic note of thanks and well wishes.

Thank you.

Very Respectfully,
LTC Dwayne Hummel (DuPont, WA)

Dear Operation Support Our Troops,

I just wanted to write and express our thanks for your generosity. We all enjoyed the 4th of July Birthday Bags you sent this week.  It's great to have your support and particularly nice receiving these gifts from folks in our own community.  We are all stationed at Fort Lewis and live in Western Washington.

Thanks again for thinking of us.

Thank you very much for your 4th of July gift bags.  Coincidentally, mine found me on my birthday (July 10th), so it was extra special. Thanks too, for keeping us in your thoughts while we are over here away from our homes and families.  It means so much to know that others are thinking of us.

Respectfully,

LtCol Mark Mackey, USMC

To the wonderful people at Operation Support Our Troops,

I want to send my sincere thanks to the men and women involved with Operation Support Our Troops. I can only imagine the amount of hours and money  dedicated volunteers must have put in to provide such a wonderful 4th of July care package.  I am truly grateful!

Receiving your package was like Christmas in June here in the desert.  This is my 4th deployment since 2000 and I can't tell you what it means to receive one of these packages that contain the large amounts of love. It is a HUGE morale booster!

I went to your website and was amazed at how well organized your team is.  All I can say is you guys and gals rock! We appreciate all the time, money and love that is put into each one of these treasure chests you send out.

God Bless each and every one of you in the great state of Washington--THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart!

I wanted to write and thank you for the care package that you sent here to Camp Victory, Iraq.  All of the goodies packed inside were handed out to the Army, Marine, and Air Force people that work here on base.  We appreciate everything you do for us and we definitely appreciate your thoughts and prayers.

Have a nice weekend,

Greetings from Baghdad!

I walked in to work this morning and was immediately greeted by the fire of several of your squirt guns. I get the feeling that will be a common occurrence now, but no one seems to mind given our weather here -- 114 today and 118 tomorrow. Needless to say, your care packages were very well received by the I Corps Special Troop Battalion's C Company.

Thanks!

To those who put the effort forward in packaging and sending, and those who helped gather the gifts, I want to extend my heartfelt thanks for the Fourth of July goodies you sent us as part of your Operation Support
Our Troops.

I am sure you do not receive a lot of thanks for what you have done.  We do appreciate your prayers and thoughts in this time away from home and families.

So may this be a small token of our appreciation and love for you and our country and what you are doing for us.

Sincerely

Dear Sir, I just wanted to say thank you very much for the care packages that you shipped to me for my Soldiers here in Charlie Company MNC-I, it is greatly appreciated!  I have a lot of young Soldiers on their 1st tour and it can be very difficult for them and their Families.  When they know that people across America have not forgotten about them it boost their morale and motivation to levels that you cannot put into words.  Please accept our many thanks and stay safe this 4th of July.
