What We Heard From Our Troops

|
3rd
Battalion, 21st Infantry, 1st BDE (Stryker),
25th Infantry Division, Mosul, Iraq:
|
I
just wanted to say thank you for all of us here at 3rd Battalion, 21st
Infantry, 1st BDE (Stryker), 25th Infantry Division here in Mosul, Iraq. I am SFC DJ Buschman. My men and I really appreciate all of the
support and blessings that you all send us.
It's great Americans like you all that make the sacrifice a little
easier to bear. As you can guess we
miss our families and loved ones and they appreciate your support as well. I truly believe it's the family members in
the military who are the unsung heroes.
Us soldiers volunteered for this job, our families deal with it. I'm very lucky, my wife used to be in the
Army and she knows how Army life is.
Some other soldiers aren't so lucky, especially the young couples. Please pray for them. Thank you.
The shoes and sandals and like items I
have given to our Civil Affairs team to give to the Iraqi kids. The other goodies, well, "joe" will
enjoy them. We love all of the goodies.
Again, your support has been truly a
blessing. Thank you.
Sincerely,
SFC DJ Buschman

Hey, how are you two
doing? Doing great here! It is 12 midnight
here and believe it or not, I just got finished
delivering the packages to everyone. I
started @ 10PM going from door to door.
I am looking to get "Thank You" cards sent to the both of you
or a letter from the Commander with soldiers signatures on them. Hope you both have a wonderful Easter
holiday. Thanks for the blessing and
joy that you have brought to these soldiers.
With much heartfelt gratitude.

To Sheryl Sheaffer
Happy Easter. I don’t know you and you probably don’t know me but I woke up
today in Iraq and had an Easter care
package sitting on my steps. It was
very nice to see that you took the time to put these little packages together
for the troops. It does mean something
and makes peoples day when they get little things like this. Anyways I just wanted to say thank you once
again and keep up the good work back home.
Sincerely,
SGT Scott Leppala
